Blades Eye Henderson Replacement As They Target 23 Year Old Shot Stopper

Sheffield United are still tracking Fenerbahce goalkeeper Altay Bayindir, according to reports in the Turkish media.

The 22-year-old has been in impressive form for the Yellow Canaries this season and there have been previous claims that the Blades are keeping a close eye on the shot-stopper’s progress.

Dean Henderson is now expected to extend his loan from Manchester United beyond the end of June, but there are still doubts over whether he’ll be staying at Bramall Lane next season.

With that being the case, it isn’t a surprise that United boss Chris Wilder is looking for potential replacements for their current number one.

Bayindir only joined Fenerbahce from Ankaragucu last July, but he has firmly established himself as first choice for the Turkish club and he has benefited from the arrival of a new goalkeeping coach.

This campaign, the keeper has conceded 33 goals and kept five clean sheets in 25 Super Lig appearances.
