Sheffield United Send Scouts To See 25 Year Old Midfield Anchor Man In Action

Scouts from Sheffield United were in attendance to see Rotherham midfielder Will Vaulks in action on Saturday, according to reports in the UK.

The 25-year-old played the full 90 minutes as the Millers drew 1-1 at home against fellow relegation strugglers Wigan.

Vaulks has been in good form for Rotherham so far this season, having scored five goals and provided three assists in 28 league matches.

The midfield anchor man can also play as a centre-back or as a fullback and would certainly add some flexibility to Chris Wilder’s squad.

However, the Blades are not the only team interested in Vaulks. Premier League side Cardiff City and a Serie A club also had representatives at the game on Saturday.

The defensive midfielder’s contract expires in the summer and he will be available on a free transfer at the end of the season.

Vaulks is believed to be unlikely to sign a new deal at the New York Stadium and is set to move on for a new challenge after helping Rotherham to promotion last campaign.
