Sheffield United Expected To Announce Return Of Manchester United Star Today

Sheffield United are expected to confirm the loan signing of Manchester United goalkeeper Dean Henderson today, according to the Mirror.

The Blades have agreed a fee in the region of £5m for Nottingham Forest midfielder Ben Osborn, and the newspaper says that both signings will be announced at the same time.

Henderson helped Chris Wilder’s side gain promotion to the Premier League last season during his first loan spell.

However, attempts to re-sign him have been scuppered until now with the Red Devils keen to tie him down to a new contract, as well as his teammate David De Gea.

Henderson’s current deal at Old Trafford expires at the end of the season and if a new loan has been agreed, it is safe to assume that he has put pen to paper on a contract extension too.

If both the 22-year-old and Osborn arrive, it will take Wilder’s signings for the summer up to seven.
