Transfer News: Wilder Reveals New Signing Expected Within 48 Hours, Everton To Hold Talks For Arsenal Target, And Villa Complete £8.75m Deal

Sheffield United manager Chris Wilder has confirmed that Nottingham Forest midfielder Ben Osborn is very close to making his move to Bramall Lane.

Speaking last night, the Blades boss revealed that a deal should be finalised within the next two days:

“Ben’s an outstanding performer for Forest and hopefully we can get that over the line in the next 24/48 hours.”

It had been claimed that United had a £3m offer turned down by Forest for Osborn but it appears that the two sides have now agreed a fee.

Everton are reportedly set to hold talks with Crystal Palace this week over signing winger Wilfried Zaha.

The Eagles are said to rate the Ivorian international at £80m and have already rejected a bid from Arsenal this summer for the player.

Aston Villa have completed the signing of Egyptian international Trezeguet, the club have confirmed.

The winger has been signed from Turkish club Kasimpasa for a reported fee of £8.75m. He is manager Dean Smith’s eighth signing of the summer transfer window.
