Leeds United V Sheffield United: Preview, Predicted XI And Betting Odds

Sheffield United caretaker manager Paul Heckingbottom would have had some much-needed time with his players during the international break.

The performance during the defeat to Chelsea in the FA Cup last time out was certainly an improvement on the Leicester mauling but the Blades will be facing another tough task when they take on Leeds tomorrow afternoon.

Heckingbottom also has an injury crisis to deal with. No less than eight players are currently sidelined with just one, Enda Stevens, expected to be fit for the trip to Elland Road.

Captain Billy Sharp (muscular), John Egan (foot), Chris Basham (knock), Sander Berge (fitness), Jack O’Connell (knee), Jack Robinson and Jack Rodwell are all unavailable.

Sheffield United’s Predicted XI To Face Leeds:

Ramsdale, Bogle, Baldock, Jagielka, Stevens, Osborn, Lundstram, Norwood, Fleck, Burke, McGoldrick

Leeds boss Marcelo Bielsa has fitness doubts over six players. Liam Cooper should be available after recovering from illness, while Pablo Hernandez (muscular) and Patrick Bamford (calf) are also fit. However, Mateusz Klich (positive virus test) and Rodrigo (muscular) are major doubts. Adam Forshaw (knee) remains on the treatment table.

Leeds’ Predicted XI:

Meslier, Ayling, Llorente, Cooper, Alioski, Dallas, Phillips, Roberts, Raphinha, Bamford, Harrison

The bookies have made Leeds the favourites with Betway pricing them at 8/15 to win. A draw is 18/5 with Unibet while a victory for Sheffield United is 6/1 at BetVictor.

Predicted Score – 3-0 to Leeds
