Emery Praises “Amazing” Wilder And Claims Blades Have Earned Arsenal’s Respect

Arsenal manager Unai Emery was full of praise for Sheffield United and Chris Wilder ahead of the game between the two sides at Bramall Lane this evening.

After studying how the Blades have performed this season, Emery says that the Gunners will be wary of the threat that their opponents will pose, and he was particularly keen to give credit to Wilder as a manager:

“We have gained respect for them. They have a big atmosphere in their stadium and their coach’s career is amazing and how they are playing is the same to how they played in the Championship.”

“They play with confidence and their style is to be offensive but they are still defensively strong.”

Arsenal are not exactly a team known for their work rate, and Wilder will be emphasising to his players that if they can work harder than their opponents this evening, they are in with a shout of getting a result.

After being unfortunate to lose at home to Liverpool in their last home game, they shouldn’t be afraid of the Gunners, who have already had their troubles on the road this season.

Winless Watford came from 2-0 down to draw 2-2 at Vicarage Road last month, and the Blades will be confident of matching the opposition stride for stride.
