Blades Target Cut Price Deal For 26 Year Old As Wilder Plans Second January Transfer

Sheffield United are looking to snap up Nottingham Forest left-back Jack Robinson on a cut-price deal before the transfer window closes, according to multiple reports in the UK.

The fullback has fallen behind Yuri Ribeiro in the pecking order at the City Ground and has not started for Sabri Lamouchi’s side since mid-December.

Blades boss Chris Wilder is looking for cover for Enda Stevens in the left-wing back role and Robinson looks to have been the man targeted for the job.

The 26-year-old is an experienced defender, having started out at Liverpool before moves to QPR and Forest. He would likely jump at the chance of playing in the top flight considering he seems to be surplus to requirements at his current club.

Whether Robinson will get game time if he does make the switch to Bramall Lane this month, it seems doubtful. Stevens has started every single league game this campaign, playing the full 90 minutes in all 23 matches so far.
