“Would Be A Great Signing” Campbell Backs Sheffield United Star For 15M Exit As Rangers And West Ham Circle

Former Arsenal and Everton striker Kevin Campbell believes Sheffield United forward Oli McBurnie would be a success if he made the switch to Rangers.

The Scotland international has been linked with a £15m move to the Scottish champions in recent days, while West Ham have also been mentioned as a potential destination, and Campbell feels the 24-year-old could thrive if he leaves Bramall Lane:

“I think he would be a great signing for Rangers, I really do. He is something different to what they have already got. I’d expect him to score a bucketload of goals up there if he went. Rangers dominate the ball and get plenty of crosses into the box which suits his game. He is very good at that so I think he would cause a lot of problems in Scotland. I think McBurnie might be looking for a new challenge as well given that Sheffield United got relegated.”

Considering McBurnie has only scored seven goals during his two seasons with the Blades, most supporters would probably snap your hand off if a club offers £15m for the striker.

Former manager Chris Wilder spent £17.5m on the player in the 2019 summer transfer window and if United can recoup most of that fee, it would help new head coach Slavisa Jokanovic to rebuild the squad ahead of their season back in the Championship.

Whether the Blades do actually receive a bid for McBurnie from interested clubs in the coming weeks, we shall have to wait and see.
