Wilder Set To Turn Down Sunderland Advances And Clinch New Improved Deal With Sheffield United

Great news has been reported today as Chris Wilder seems ready to put pen to paper on a new contract and continue to manage Sheffield United – a club he has been a lifelong supporter of.

Wilder had been wary of the ongoing saga between co-owners Kevin McCabe and HRH Prince Abdullah Bin Mosa’ad Abdulaziz Al Saud at the club.

However Wilder is now set turn down overtures from Sunderland and put aside his concerns over the clubs ownership amid confirmation of an improved transfer budget, and will apparently sign a new deal later this week

Wilder’s backroom team of Matt Prestridge, Alan Knill and Paul Mitchell look very likely to continue in their roles along with their boss.

All the Blades players and fans have been hoping for the gaffer to stay put and it seems they are set to get what they have been hoping for.

Wilder steered United to a 10th place finish in the Championship following a 6 year period in League 1 which ended when they finished the 2016-17 season as Champions clinching automatic promotion.

The popular Blades boss now seems set to implement a long term strategy at the club as they look to make a push for Premier League status and bring back the big time to Bramall Lane.
