Wilder Makes Admission About Dean Henderson’s Future At The Blades

Sheffield United manager Chris Wilder has confirmed that he would like Dean Henderson to stay for a third consecutive loan spell at Bramall Lane.

The 22-year-old has been getting rave reviews for his performances in between the sticks for the Blades this season, leading to calls for an England call-up, and Wilder knows it will be a tough task to keep him:

“I have left it with Manchester United. We have expressed our interest in Dean coming back next year. But I don’t want to keep pushing that button.”

Reports indicate that Chelsea and Paris Saint-Germain are also looking at Henderson but there have also been claims that suggest United would prefer selling to Sheffield United if they were to offload the keeper.

The Red Devils are very aware of the shot-stopper’s talent and would prefer a team who would agree to a buyback clause so they could re-sign him in the future.

Whether the Blades could afford to buy Henderson and would agree to such an arrangement, we shall have to wait and see in the summer.
