Watford V Sheffield United: Preview, Predicted XI And Betting Odds

Sheffield United manager Chris Wilder would have been delighted with the performance, if not the result, against Liverpool last time out. They gave the league leaders a run for their money and will head to Vicarage Road this weekend full of confidence.

Their opponents Watford, meanwhile, are at their lowest ebb. Despite appointing Quique Sanchez Flores as manager, the Hornets haven’t been able to reverse a slide, following an 8-0 thumping by Manchester City with a 2-0 defeat at Wolves.

David McGoldrick (groin) is unlikely to feature after being left out of the Republic of Ireland squad for the games later this month. Billy Sharp will, though, return after serving his three-match ban for his red card against Southampton.

Sheffield United’s Predicted XI To Face Watford:

Henderson, Baldock, Basham, Egan, O’Connell, Stevens, Lundstram, Fleck, Norwood, McBurnie, Robinson

Watford have three injuries heading into Saturday’s encounter. Will Hughes is a doubt after picking up a knock while Isaac Success has been ruled out with a groin strain. Troy Deeney remains on the sidelines as he recovers from knee surgery.

Watford’s Predicted XI:

Foster, Femenia, Dawson, Cathcart, Holebas, Cleverley, Doucoure, Capoue, Pereyra, Gray, Deulofeu

The bookies have Watford as slight favourites with Unibet pricing them at 6/5 to win. A draw is 5/2 with Sky Bet while a victory for the Blades is 13/5 at Betfair.

Predicted Score – 1-0 to Sheffield United
