‘Very Attentive…’ Report Names The 2 Premier League Clubs Who Are Pursuing 31M Rated Blades Star

Liverpool and Chelsea are both interested in signing Sheffield United midfielder Sander Berge, according to Jeunes Footeux.

The French website claims the two Premier League clubs are “very attentive” to the Norwegian international’s situation, along with Barcelona and Borussia Dortmund.

It is believed that one of the four teams could well make an offer for Berge when the transfer window reopens in the New Year, but he won’t be available on the cheap.

The 24-year-old has been regularly linked with a move away from Bramall Lane but, up until now, no team has tabled an offer that matches the Yorkshire club’s valuation.

The Blades are said to be holding out for a fee in the region of €35m (£31m) to €40m (£35.5m), which is very close to his reported release clause.

Berge has been excellent for Paul Heckingbottom’s side at the start of this season, and he has been a key player as United sit top of the Championship table after ten games played.
