United’s Stance On Dean Henderson Revealed As Club Enters Talks With Player

Manchester United have yet to decide where Dean Henderson will be playing his football next season, according to the Manchester Evening News.

The 23-year-old has finished his second loan spell at Sheffield United and discussions are now being held about the player’s future ahead of the 2020/21 campaign.

Blades boss Chris Wilder has already stated that he would like to keep Henderson for a third consecutive season, although he does not know how realistic that ambition is.

The shot-stopper is also being targeted by Chelsea as a potential replacement for Kepa Arrizabalaga and the player is said to be keen on playing regularly once again next campaign.

However, with David De Gea still United’s number one, that may prove difficult at Old Trafford. The Red Devils want to offer Henderson a new deal so it may well be that he signs on the dotted line and goes out on loan once again. If that is the case, a return to Bramall Lane would certainly be on the cards.
