United Set To Hold Talks With Blades Star Amid Claims Of Arsenal And Tottenham Interest

Dean Henderson

Manchester United will hold talks with goalkeeper Dean Henderson about his future this week, according to reports.

The 22-year-old has already expressed his desire to stay at Bramall Lane for another year after helping the Blades seal promotion to the Premier League.

However, Henderson’s current deal expires in 2020, and discussions will need to be held to decide the keeper’s long-term future at Old Trafford.

United do have an option to extend his contract for a further year, and the likeliest outcome will see the Manchester club triggering their extension and allowing the shot-stopper to spend a further year in Sheffield.

Reports in February had linked Arsenal, Tottenham, Bayern Munich and Juventus with a move for Henderson but United may want to keep him at the club in light of the uncertainty surrounding David De Gea.

The Spaniard has yet to agree a new contract with the Red Devils with his current deal expiring at the end of next season.
