United Open To Selling Henderson Next Summer With £20m Price Tag Having Been Set

Manchester United have set a £20m asking price for goalkeeper Dean Henderson, according to reports in the English media. The Red Devils are poised to sell the 22-year-old after David De Gea committed his long-term future to the club.

No doubt, Sheffield United would like to keep him permanently beyond the end of his loan spell next summer, but it remains to be seen if the Blades can stump up the cash.

Manager Chris Wilder shelled out nearly £40m on new signings to build a squad capable of staying in the Premier League, and owner Prince Abdullah has confirmed he will finance more deals.

Much will depend on whether United stay in the top flight but Henderson will also have to prove he merits the price tag as well. The keeper made a bad mistake in the defeat to Liverpool at the weekend and will want to make amends over the coming weeks.
