Transfer Round Up: Solskjaer Gives Big Hint About Henderson’s Future, Stoke Pursue Newcastle Star And Derby Eye Scottish Starlet

Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has suggested that Dean Henderson could spend another season at Sheffield United.

The 22-year-old has been on loan at Bramall Lane, helping the Blades get promoted to the Premier League.

Arsenal and Tottenham are reportedly interested in the goalkeeper but the Red Devils boss believes another campaign on loan as a regular starter in the top flight could be on the cards:

“Let’s see with Dean. He’s won promotion with Sheffield United and been fantastic. For him to play a year in the Premier League might be the best thing.”

Stoke City are planning an audacious bid for Newcastle winger Matt Ritchie, according to reports in the UK.

The Magpies are unwilling to extend the 29-year-old’s contract beyond his current deal that expires in 2021, and he is prepared to move down a division to secure his long-term future.

Stoke are said to be willing to give him a deal that extends beyond what Newcastle would be willing to pay, despite the Potters having finished 16th in the Championship.

Reports in Scotland indicate that Derby County are one of a number of clubs who have been scouting Motherwell midfielder David Turnbull.

The 19-year-old won the Scottish Football Writers’ Young Player of the Year after scoring 14 goals in 33 appearances this campaign.
