Transfer News: Blades Star Admits Interest In Liverpool Move, Fulham Enter Talks For Leeds Midfielder And Villa Target Dutch International

Sheffield United defender Jack O’Connell has admitted he would find it hard to turn down a move to Liverpool if the opportunity arose in the future.

The 25-year-old says he was a Reds fan growing up, and even though he is happy at Bramall Lane, a switch to Anfield would tempt him:

“Obviously, I am happy at Sheffield United. I’ve just signed a new contract and I’ve never thought about leaving, but my dream as a kid was to play for Liverpool and if they ever come knocking, although unlikely, it would be hard to turn them down.”

Fulham have entered talks about signing Leeds United midfielder Adam Forshaw, according to reports in the UK.

The former Middlesbrough player made 30 appearances in the Championship for the Yorkshire club last season and the Cottagers are keen to sign him in order to strengthen their own promotion bid.

Aston Villa are reportedly interested in signing Huddersfield Town defender Terence Kongolo.

The Dutch international moved to the John Smith’s Stadium on a permanent basis from Monaco for £18m last summer, and it seems the Villans are keen on signing the centre-back following the Terriers’ relegation from the Premier League.
