Sky Sports pundit Charlie Nicholas believes Sheffield United will give Chelsea a run for their money when they face the Blues at Stamford Bridge on Saturday afternoon.

The Blades head into the match with four points from their first three games back in the top flight and Nicholas thinks that Chris Wilder side’s will grow in belief that they can stay at this level if they continue putting in the hard graft:

“It has been a good start for Sheffield United, so they may be ready to say it is about being dogged, not just having energy. There is a feeling within Chelsea at the moment that the fans will demand a win and Lampard will demand a performance, which they will get, but not without its difficulties.”

Nicholas still says that Chelsea will come out on top though, and has predicted a 3-1 win for the home side. Even so, United will believe that Chelsea’s defence can be got at.

The London club have already conceded nine goals in their four matches in all competitions so far, and considering that another newly promoted team in Norwich City managed to score twice against them, the Blades should not be afraid to go forward and probe their defensive weaknesses.
