Sheffield United V Manchester United: Team News, Predicted XI And Betting Odds

Sheffield United manager Chris Wilder is sweating over the fitness of centre-back John Egan ahead of the game against Manchester United on Sunday.

The defender picked up a calf injury whilst playing for the Republic of Ireland in the 1-1 draw against Denmark on Monday night and is facing a late fitness test ahead of this weekend’s game at Bramall Lane.

The Blades will also be without Dean Henderson with the goalkeeper ineligible to play against his parent club, so Simon Moore looks poised to deputise.

Sheffield United’s Predicted XI To Face Manchester United:

Moore, Baldock, Basham, Egan, O’Connell, Lundstram, Stevens, Norwood, Fleck, McGoldrick, Mousset

United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has six players out of contention for the game. Scott McTominay, Paul Pogba (both ankle), Diogo Dalot (groin), Marcos Rojo (muscular), Eric Bailly and Timothy Fosu-Mensah (both knee) are all unavailable.

However, Luke Shaw, Nemanja Matic and Axel Tuanzebe are all back in first-team training and could feature this weekend.

Manchester United’s Predicted XI:

De Gea, Wan-Bissaka, Lindelof, Maguire, Young, Matic, Pereira, Matic, James, Martial, Rashford

The bookies have made the away side favourites with Betfred pricing United at 5/4 to get the win. A draw is 49/20 with Unibet while a victory for the Blades is 27/10 at the same bookmaker.
