Sheffield United V Burnley: Team News, Predicted XI And Betting Odds

Sheffield United boss Chris Wilder would have been delighted by the resilience the Blades showed against West Ham last weekend.

They more than held their own in the 1-1 draw and head into Saturday’s clash versus Burnley at Bramall Lane in eighth place. In contrast, the Clarets are coming off the back of a 4-2 defeat to Chelsea and have not won on the road so far this campaign.

It is likely to be a tight affair, though, with neither team prolific in front of goal, although the home side are a better defensive unit, having conceded just eight in ten league games.

United have no injury concerns of note with Wilder’s only worry being over who to start up front for the game.

Sheffield United’s Predicted XI To Face Burnley:

Henderson, Baldock, Basham, Egan, O’Connell, Stevens, Lundstram, Norwood, Fleck, McGoldrick, Mousset

Burnley, though, have three players currently out injured. Chris Wood (hamstring) is the likeliest to make his return to the side, but Danny Drinkwater (ankle) and Johann Berg Gudmundsson (hamstring) will both miss out.

Burnley’s Predicted XI:

Pope, Lowton, Tarkowski, Mee, Pieters, Hendrick, Westwood, Cork, McNeil, Rodriguez, Barnes

The bookmakers have the Blades as the favourites with Betfair pricing them at 6/5 for the win. A draw is 23/10 with 888 Sport while a Burnley victory is 27/10 at BetVictor.
