Sheffield United v Birmingham City – Match Preview And Predicted XI

Sheffield United will want to react quickly after suffering a setback last time out against Bristol City at Ashton Gate.

The 1-0 defeat to the Robins means Chris Wilder’s men will head into tomorrow night’s game against Birmingham City sitting in fifth place with 12 points from seven games.

The Blades will have John Fleck back for the encounter. He missed the defeat at the weekend with a groin injury. United’s only other injury is Paul Coutts (broken leg). The midfielder has played a full ninety minutes for the Under 23s but he will not be ready for the first team for at least a few more weeks.

For Birmingham, Garry Monk could be without Craig Gardner who missed the game against West Brom on Friday with a knock sustained in training last week. The Blues have no other injury worries.

Here’s how we think the Blades will line up against Birmingham:

Henderson
O’Connell, Basham, Egan
Freeman, Fleck, Duffy, Norwood, Stevens
McGoldrick, Sharp

Predicted Score – Sheffield United 3-0
