Sheffield United On Alert As Key Summer Target Asks To Leave Following Failed £10m Bid

Nottingham Forest right-back Matty Cash is keen to leave the City Ground before the end of the transfer window, according to reports in England.

Sheffield United have already had a £10m offer turned down by Forest for the 23-year-old, while West Ham and Southampton are also believed to be monitoring the fullback’s situation.

Cash was the subject of interest from the Hammers in January, and while he did not force through a move then, it is thought that Forest’s failure to clinch promotion to the Premier League has prompted him to look for a departure.

The defender was only converted from a winger at the start of last season by manager Sabri Lamouchi and he would be a perfect fit for Chris Wilder‘s side.

The Blades are looking to add competition for first-choice right wing-back George Baldock with his understudy Kieron Freeman having left Bramall Lane when his contract expired at the beginning of this month.
