Sheffield United Make ‘Detailed Proposal’ To Sign England International Ahead Of Rivals

Sheffield United have made a “detailed proposal” to Manchester United forward Jesse Lingard in order to persuade him into moving on loan to Bramall Lane, according to the Mirror.

West Ham and Nice are believed to be leading the Blades in the race for the England international but manager Chris Wilder is hoping that the promise of playing regular football in his favoured position will turn things in their favour.

Red Devils boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is still unsure whether to loan out Lingard, as the Norwegian feels Lingard could be useful if there is an injury crisis, but the player may be keen on leaving due to his lack of football.

The 28-year-old has not made a single appearance in the Premier League this season, with all of his game time coming in cup competitions. He could, therefore, ask to move before the January transfer window closes, and Wilder’s proposal could be the most attractive option on the table.
