Sheffield United Join Six Club Battle To Sign 11 Cap International Striker On Loan

Sheffield United are interested in snapping up Brentford forward Marcus Forss on loan next month, according to reports in England.

The 22-year-old, who has 11 caps for Finland, is expected to be made available by the Bees during the January transfer window, after featuring rarely in the first half of the season.

Forss has started just one Premier League game, and he has mostly been limited to cameos off the bench. However, he has been impressive in the Carabao Cup, bagging five goals in only three appearances.

The Finnish international scored seven times during Brentford’s promotion campaign and those performances have undoubtedly attracted the Blades, as well as other Championship teams.

It is believed that Fulham, Middlesbrough, Stoke City, West Brom and Nottingham Forest are also in the frame for Forss’s signature. Brentford do have offers from abroad but they are keen for the player to continue his development with a club in England.
