Sheffield United Handed Major Boost In Their Attempts To Keep Dean Henderson

Manchester United will opt against selling goalkeeper Dean Henderson this summer and will look to loan him out for a third successive season, according to ESPN.

There had been speculation that the likes of Chelsea and Paris Saint-Germain were keen on signing the 23-year-old, but it now appears more likely that he’ll be returning to Bramall Lane.

United don’t want to lose Henderson but also understand that the keeper will not be happy playing second fiddle to David De Gea. With the Spaniard having recently declared that he expects to stay at Old Trafford for many more years, another temporary departure seems to be the likeliest solution.

ESPN say the Blades are an “option” but there are a number of other Premier League teams that Chris Wilder’s side will have to fend off to keep their current number one.

Considering the success he has had since his first move to Yorkshire in 2018, it would be a big surprise if Henderson didn’t choose another loan spell at the club.
