Sheffield United Face PL Rival In Race To Snap Up 20 Year Old Midfield Maestro

Sheffield United are interested in signing Coventry midfielder Tom Bayliss, according to reports in the UK.

The 20-year-old has been in outstanding form for the League One side and his performances have been attracting the interest from a whole host of teams, as well as the Blades.

Aston Villa are said to be keeping tabs on Bayliss, who has been a regular first-team player for Coventry since making his debut against Cheltenham Town back in December 2017.

The midfielder scored on his first appearance and then played a prominent role as Mark Robins’ side gained promotion from League Two.

Following his breakout season, Bayliss was then rewarded with a call up for England Under 19s last summer, playing at the European Championships.

Unfortunately for him, his only start of the tournament came in the 3-0 defeat to Norway as the young lions were knocked out of the competition.

Bayliss’s development, though, continued at club level, scoring three goals and providing three assists in 38 league appearances last campaign for Coventry.
