Sheffield United Could Yet Hijack Celtic’s Attempts To Secure 43 Year Old Manager

Sheffield United are still interested in appointing Eddie Howe as their next manager, according to Yorkshire Live.

It was believed that the 43-year-old had turned down the Blades after contact was made with his agent but the website believes this is not the case.

United are yet to offer the vacant manager’s job to anyone, and with Howe seemingly happy to wait until the summer to make a decision on his next role, there is no rush to appoint him.

It has been reported in Scotland over the last couple of weeks that the former Bournemouth head coach is poised to take over at Celtic, but there has been no confirmation, up until now.

Howe is said to be on Crystal Palace’s shortlist of replacements for Roy Hodgson, while Newcastle may also consider him if they decide to dispense with the services of Steve Bruce.

With that being the case, the Blades may find it difficult to hire him, although nothing can be ruled out at this stage.
