Sheffield United Backed To Star In Hollywood Film If They Survive Relegation

Sheffield United owner Prince Abdullah says that Hollywood would be interested in writing a script if the Blades do pull off a great escape this season.

Their win against West Brom means Chris Wilder‘s side are now just one point behind the Baggies at the bottom of the table. It follows a woeful start to the campaign, which saw them take 18 games to record their first victory against Newcastle.

However, after recent victories versus Manchester United and West Brom, Prince Abdullah firmly believes that a fairytale could happen if they continue in their current rich vein of form:

“Yeah, I think movies will be made about this if we manage to escape, but let’s just take it one game at a time. It’s still very difficult, but with performances like against West Brom, we still believe. We have 16 games to go, we’re 10 points behind, we need to pray for a miracle to happen, but I think we’re still capable of pulling this off. With performances like the ones against Manchester United and West Brom, yeah, I believe we can do it.”

It must be said that the Blades are still 11 points from safety, meaning the Yorkshire club will have to perform at a consistently high level for the rest of the season.

Getting 25 to 30 points in 16 games is not beyond the realms of possibility but it is still a very tough ask for United. Whether they will get a Hollywood ending, it remains to be seen.
