Report Details When Arsenal Will Make ‘Formal Bid’ For 40M Rated Blades Star

Arsenal will table a “formal bid” for Sheffield United goalkeeper Aaron Ramsdale after his participation in the European Championships ends on Sunday, according to the Daily Express.

England have progressed to the final of the tournament, where they will face Italy at the weekend, but the Blades will need to brace themselves as the Gunners step up their interest with an offer for the Yorkshire club’s number one.

Ramsdale’s asking price is said to be £40m, and it is highly unlikely that Arsenal will make a bid close to their valuation so it could well be a protracted transfer. United will be looking to get as much as they can for the keeper after signing him from Bournemouth for £18.5m last year.

With Sander Berge also interesting teams in the Premier League and abroad, it is hardly ideal preparation for new manager Slavisa Jokanovic who will be keen to have a settled squad as soon as possible to prepare his team for the start of the season next month.
