Portsmouth Ace Swiftly Denies Reports After Being Linked With Sheffield United Switch

Portsmouth forward Ronan Curtis has taken to Twitter to refute reports that he could be leaving Fratton Park.

It is believed that Sheffield United have sent scouts to watch the winger in action, along with Premier League sides Brighton and Leicester City as well as fellow Championship clubs, Leeds, Derby County and Middlesbrough.

However, Curtis reacted to the news by firmly denying the story on social media:

The Irish Under 21 international only joined Pompey in the summer for less than £100,000 from Derry City. Since making his debut against Luton Town back in August, he has been in superb form.

In 12 appearances for the League One side, he has scored six goals and provided five assists. He mostly plays on the left wing, but he is also capable of playing up front.

Curtis is yet to make his debut for the Republic of Ireland’s senior side, but with the Blades having two current Irish internationals in Enda Stevens and John Egan in their ranks, it could help persuade the forward to move to Bramall Lane in the future.
