“Nobody Is Going Out The Building” Wilder Shuts Down Talk That Blades Ace Could Make Russia Switch

Sheffield United manager Chris Wilder has ruled out Lys Mousset leaving for CSKA Moscow or any other club.

While the English transfer window has closed, the Russian one will stay open until later this month and there had been reports in the English media that CSKA may make a bid for the French striker. However, when asked about potential departures, Wilder was adamant no player would be leaving:

“You’ve seen the squad, how stretched it is, nobody is going out the building.”

Mousset has had a difficult second season at Bramall Lane. As well as having off the field problems, the 24-year-old has spent a large portion of the campaign out of action with a foot injury.

The forward did return to the squad in late November and made a number of league appearances in December, but he has been an unused substitute in recent weeks, with his last game coming in the 3-2 win over Bristol Rovers in the FA Cup at the start of last month.
