Latest Sheffield United Injury Report: Updates On Sharp, Baldock, McBurnie, McGoldrick And Brewster

Sheffield United striker Billy Sharp is back in contention to start after recovering from a hamstring injury.

The 36-year-old has not played since the 2-0 win over Barnsley last month but he will be back in the squad when the Blades take on Cardiff City this weekend.

George Baldock sustained a muscular problem during the 1-1 draw against Bristol City on Monday but the wingback is likely to be available for the Cardiff game at Bramall Lane on Saturday.

However, manager Paul Heckingbottom has confirmed that Oli McBurnie is expected to miss the rest of the season with a foot injury. The Scottish international has a bone fracture and ligament damage so a decision will need to be made over whether he requires surgery.

David McGoldrick has revealed that he is seeing a specialist about a thigh issue. The forward hasn’t featured since February and looks unlikely to make his comeback soon. Rhian Brewster is also out for the season with a hamstring injury.
