Sheffield United are expecting to have striker Oli McBurnie back fit for the game against Tottenham on Sunday. The Scotland international has missed the last four games with a shoulder problem but he is thought to be very close to making his comeback.

Blades boss Chris Wilder could also have two other players back in contention, with wingbacks George Baldock and Enda Stevens nearing their return to full training after being sidelined with knocks.

Jack Robinson is unavailable with the fullback having sustained an issue after the win over Bristol Rovers in the FA Cup third round last weekend.

Sander Berge is expected to be out for three months after undergoing surgery on a hamstring problem but there is some better news on centre-back Jack O’Connell.

It was believed that the defender would miss the rest of the season with a knee injury but Wilder has now hinted that the player could make his return earlier than anticipated.
