Latest Sheffield United Injury Report: Updates On Berge, Egan And Brewster

It is still not clear whether Sheffield United midfielder Sander Berge will be available for the game against West Ham at Bramall Lane on Sunday.

The Norwegian is away with his national team but, after Omar Elabdellaoui tested positive for the virus, the entire squad was told to quarantine. There is still a dispute between the Norwegian Football Federation and the country’s government about the matter which has yet to be resolved.

Centre-back John Egan sustained a head injury for Ireland whilst playing in the 3-0 defeat to England last week and he is a doubt for this weekend. As is record signing Rhian Brewster, with the striker picking up a knock in England U21’s 3-1 win over Andorra on Friday. He won’t take part in the game against Albania tomorrow night and he has been sent back to the Blades for treatment.

Enda Stevens was not called up by Ireland due to a knee injury and it remains to be seen whether he’ll recover in time to face the Hammers this weekend. Lys Mousset (foot) and Jack O’Connell (knee) remain on the sidelines.
