Latest Sheffield United Injury News: Updates On McGoldrick, Fleck And Lundstram

Sheffield United manager Chris Wilder has confirmed that forward David McGoldrick is touch and go for Saturday’s game against Chelsea.

The Republic of Ireland international sat out the 1-0 win over Wolves with a foot injury and is expected to have a fitness test before the weekend.

John Fleck is back on the training pitch following a groin problem but he is unlikely to start the match at Bramall Lane.

Luke Freeman and Leon Clarke are both still sidelined and it is believed the pair won’t be back in contention before the match against Everton on Monday week.

There is some better news, though, with John Lundstram having made a surprise return to the bench for the Wolves game.

The 26-year-old had been suffering with a shoulder injury, but he was given a pain-killing injection in order to be included in the matchday squad last night.

Lundstram was, though, an unused substitute and it remains to be seen whether he is fit enough to start matches.
