Latest Sheffield United Injury News: Updates On Lundstram And O’Connell

Sheffield United manager Chris Wilder has confirmed that midfielder John Lundstram’s participation in the game against Tottenham depends on the results of a scan on his shoulder.

The 26-year-old was injured in the 2-1 defeat to Arsenal in the FA Cup on Sunday, and he is now a major doubt for the Blades’ next match on Thursday evening.

Jack O’Connell also appears unlikely to feature versus Spurs, with a knee injury having kept him from playing in any of the matches since the Premier League returned earlier this month.

Wilder says his fitness is improving day by day but they will be taking no risks with the defender, which suggests that Jack Robinson will continue to deputise at centre-half.

The fullback has been one of the most consistent performances for United in recent weeks, Wilder claims, but the Blades manager knows the squad, as a whole, needs to improve quickly to arrest a poor run of form.
