Latest Sheffield United Injury News: Updates On Egan And Fleck

Sheffield United centre-back John Egan was stretchered off with what was described as a “serious” leg/foot injury in the closing stages of the 3-0 defeat to West Ham last night.

The Republic of Ireland international is expected to undergo a scan to determine how long he could be out for, but the signs are not good for the defender.

Manager Chris Wilder has also confirmed the reason why John Fleck was not involved at the London Stadium yesterday evening. The Scotland international is thought to be ill and had to be taken to hospital to undergo some tests.

The Blades’ other injury problems are long term. Holding midfielder Sander Berge has been out since mid-December with a hamstring issue. He is expected to return to action at the back end of next month.

Defenders Jack O’Connell (knee) and Jack Robinson are not likely to return from the sidelines any time soon.
