Journalist Claims Three Premier League Teams Are “Tracking” Sheffield United Defender

Leicester City, Bournemouth and Crystal Palace are all keeping tabs on Sheffield United defender Rhys Norrington-Davies, according to journalist Pete O’Rourke.

The Wales international has been a key player in the Blades’ strong start to the campaign and O’Rourke reports that a trio of Premier League clubs are weighing up moves for the player:

Norrington-Davies’ ability to play both as a centre-half in a back-three and as a wingback mean manager Paul Heckingbottom has used him regularly since he became manager midway through last season.

At 23 years of age, he is only going to improve in the future, so it is not surprising that teams in the top tier are taking a look at him.

United will, though, be reluctant to lose a player of Norrington-Davies’ quality during the January transfer window and Heckingbottom will be hoping to keep his squad together as he looks to maintain the club’s promotion push.
