How The Blades Compare With Other Premier League Clubs As The FA Release Agent Fee Figures

Sheffield United paid just over £7m in agent fees during the 2020/21 campaign, according to a recent report released by the FA.

Only three other teams in the Premier League have spent less than the Blades. West Brom (£4.2m) paid the least, with Burnley (£4.4m) and Crystal Palace (£6.7m) not far behind.

In terms of the biggest expenditure on agent fees, Chelsea come out on top, having paid £35.2m, which is not overly surprising considering they spent well over £200m on players during the summer transfer window.

Second on the list is Manchester City on £30.1m, with Manchester United (£29.8m) and Liverpool (£21.6m) coming third and fourth respectively. Tottenham (£16.5m) and Arsenal (£16.4m) round out the top six.

The FA claim that a staggering £317m was shelled out on agents in the top four divisions of English football during the current season, with £272m of that being spent by the 20 Premier League teams.
