Sheffield United manager Paul Heckingbottom has confirmed that Ben Osborn is expected to be out for a “couple of weeks” with a hamstring injury.
The midfielder was not in the squad for the 1-0 win over Reading on Tuesday evening and he is also expected to miss the games versus Luton Town and Sunderland.
However, there is better news on Manchester City loanee James McAtee. The 20-year-old was replaced by John Fleck with fifteen minutes to go at the Madejski Stadium but Heckingbottom has confirmed that the player was only suffering from cramp.
Iliman Ndiaye also had to be substituted earlier in the second half. The Senegalese international scored the only goal of the game on the hour mark but he then picked up a knock just minutes later which forced him off the pitch.
Heckingbottom says they are hoping the 23-year-old has only sustained a dead leg but it remains to be seen whether he will be in the squad for the Luton game this weekend.
