“From What I Am Told…” Fabrizio Romano Rates The Blades’ Chances Of Signing Man Utd Ace

Manchester United winger Amad Diallo would prefer to join another Premier League club on loan rather than moving down a division, according to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano.

The reliable Italian journalist does not completely rule out the Ivorian joining Sheffield United, but he says the Blades will have a job on their hands to persuade the teenager into moving to Bramall Lane:

“From what I am told, he wants to play Premier League football, so let’s see if Sheffield will be able to change his mind. But he wants to play Premier League football, so Crystal Palace could be one of the options – and not only Crystal Palace, because also other clubs are enquiring about the situation.”

As Romano says, there are a number of teams after Diallo, with Swiss side FC Basel, clubs in Germany as well as other countries keen to sign him on loan.

Blades boss Slavisa Jokanovic could try and persuade Diallo that his best chance of getting regular game time would be with the Yorkshire club so that could be a significant factor in United’s favour.

It is also a good sign that the 19-year-old wants to remain in England but, from the sound of things, it does appear as though Palace are the favourites to secure his signature.
