European Giants Target Sheffield United Star Dean Henderson

Bayern Munich are targetting Sheffield United goalkeeper Dean Henderson as a potential long-term successor to Manuel Neuer, according to the Daily Mail.

The Blades star’s loan at Bramall Lane expires in June, and it seems Chris Wilder may have serious competition on his hands if he wants to sign the England Under 21 international on a permanent basis next summer.

Henderson has been in excellent form for United and has marshalled a defence which is currently the second-best in the Premier League.

However, despite his performances, he is unlikely to stay with Manchester United who secured David De Gea on a long-term contract earlier in the season.

With Henderson on the cusp of getting his first senior England cap after being called up twice by manager Gareth Southgate in recent months, the 22-year-old has ambitions of playing at the highest level. The Blades, therefore, face a serious fight to keep hold of their current number one.
