Sky Sports pundit David Prutton is predicting an eventful score draw when Sheffield United face Middlesbrough on Wednesday night.

The Blades head into the match ten points above their opponents, despite being just a place above them in the table, but Prutton believes the two sides will share the spoils:

“Boro need to win this if they are to have any hope of putting any kind of pressure on the Blades. Even if they do the gap is enormous, but things can change quickly and all they can do is try and take the three points. However, I think this will be a draw. 2-2.”

While a win would massively boost Paul Heckingbottom side’s chances of securing automatic promotion, it has to be said that the main objective for the midweek clash is to avoid defeat.

United have been in excellent form in recent weeks, having not lost since the World Cup, but they will be coming up against one of the in-form teams in the Championship.

The Blades don’t want to give Boro any hope that they can be caught so maintaining the very healthy points gap between the two teams has to be the priority. We shall see who comes out on top at Bramall Lane.
