Blades Star Is Keen On Move To Rival Championship Club As Transfer Talks Are Held

Sheffield United forward Oli Burke is interested in moving to Blackburn Rovers, according to reports in the English media.

Tony Mowbray’s side are believed to have begun talks with the Blades about signing the Scottish international on a permanent basis and the player is open to the transfer.

Burke has only made five appearances so far this season and, although his lack of minutes is mostly due to a heel injury, it appears he is deemed surplus to requirements by manager Paul Heckingbottom.

With Blackburn looking to strengthen their squad as they push for automatic promotion, Burke would probably jump at the chance of making the switch to Ewood Park.

Rovers tried to sign the 24-year-old on loan last summer, before the deal collapsed, but they have now reignited their interest. They were hoping to snap up the former Nottingham Forest and West Brom player on a free but United have made it clear that they want a transfer fee.
