Blades On Alert After Aston Villa Starlet Is Tipped For Loan Exit Ahead Of Transfer Deadline

Aston Villa manager Steven Gerrard could allow Tim Iroegbunam to leave the club on loan before the transfer window shuts, according to reports.

Sheffield United were linked with the England Under 19 international last month, along with the likes of Blackburn Rovers, Queens Park Rangers, Bristol City, Swansea and Stoke.

However, at the time, Villa were still looking to keep hold of Iroegbunam, with Gerrard undecided on whether the teenager would be part of his first-team plans.

There appears to have been a slight change in the club’s stance, though, with it now being claimed that a loan move will be sanctioned if Villa do bring in more signings in the coming days.

Iroegbunam would want regular game time so Blades boss Paul Heckingbottom may only decide to go after the 19-year-old if it looks as though Sander Berge is leaving Bramall Lane. Club Brugge and Liverpool have both been linked with the Norwegian in recent weeks.
