Blades Join Arsenal, Leicester And Liverpool In Pursuing Greek International Fullback

Sheffield United are one of seven clubs that are interested in Olympiakos left-back Kostas Tsmikas, according to reports in the Greek media.

The 23-year-old has been in good form this campaign, and his performances have come to the attention of the Blades, as well as a number of other teams.

Premier League sides such as Arsenal, Leicester and Liverpool have been credited with an interest in Tsmikas, while the likes of Napoli, Inter Milan and Rangers are also said to be looking at the player.

Whether manager Chris Wilder would need the Greek international, it is up for debate. The Blades signed Ben Osborn from Nottingham Forest last summer as a backup for Enda Stevens but the Republic of Ireland international has rarely missed a game this campaign.

The wingback did have some issues with a calf injury recently, but over the course of the season, the Irishman has not missed a single league game, raising questions over whether Tsmikas would be needed.
