Blades Have Opening £3m Bid Rejected For Forest Star

Sheffield United have had a £3m offer for Nottingham Forest midfielder Ben Osborn rejected, according to the Sun.

The Blades are keen on recruiting the 24-year-old who can play on the left-wing, in central midfield or at left-back.

Forest are believed to be demanding at least £6m for Osborn, but United manager Chris Wilder is unlikely to sanction a bid that reaches that amount.

Although Osborn has spent his whole career at the City Ground, it remains to be seen where he fits into new head coach Sabri Lamouchi’s plans.

The Frenchman took over from Martin O’Neill at the beginning of July and has already signed six players this summer, including Albert Adomah and Sammy Ameobi.

Osborn is also within the final twelve months of his contract at Forest and has yet to sign a new deal. He could be sold on to prevent him from leaving for nothing next summer.
