Berge’s Preference Revealed As Italian Clubs Join Arsenal In Race For 35M Rated Midfielder

Sheffield United midfielder Sander Berge is keen on staying in England, according to Football League World.

The website claims that despite links to the likes of Atalanta and Napoli in recent days, the Norwegian international’s preference would be to remain in this country.

Blades boss Slavisa Jokanovic is hoping to persuade Berge to snub moves away from Bramall Lane, but the player’s head has reportedly been turned, with teams such as Arsenal, Aston Villa and Everton having registered an interest in him.

The three Premier League teams have, though, not returned with a formal bid for the 23-year-old, and it’s likely that Sheffield United’s £35m asking price is putting off teams from making an offer.

Whether Berge will be happy to stay if no club matches the Blades’ asking price, we shall have to wait and see, but it doesn’t seem like the Norwegian’s future will be resolved any time soon.
